When it comes to cryptocurrency, having multiple wallets can be essential. However, did you know that you could be doing it wrong? Many people use a MetaMask wallet, but fail to set up a new wallet and instead add additional addresses off of their main wallet. This is a major security flaw, as anyone with access to your seed phrase can then access all of your addresses, even the ones you thought were safe. Don't fall victim to crypto scams – use MetaMask properly and stay secure.

-What to do...

When it come to using MetaMask you want to set up your initial wallet and write down your seed phrase. (Do not screen shot it or keep that information on your phone!) 

You then have the option to open multiple address off go that main wallet BUT DON'T! (unless you are aware of the risk your accepting) Instead open a whole NEW wallet with its own seed phrase. This will help avoid scammers from accessing ALL your crypto off of the main wallet if they gain access to you seed phrase.

-The easiest way I have found to do this is by using CoinBase Wallet to open all the wallets I need then importing them to MetaMask or using the CoinBase Wallet (your preference for platforms)

-This also applies to PinkSales or other pre-sale crypto projects that will need air-drops, using a clean wallet can save you big time and then knowing how to go back and REVOKE PERMISSIONS is also a step you the crypto buyer will be responsible to do to help secure your wallets and investments.

How to do this...

-Step 1 Download CoinBase Wallet on the App Store (for IOS & Android)

-Step 2 Open a NEW Wallet and Write Down you Seed Phrase

-Step 3 If you need Multiple Wallets - Continue on..

-Step 4 Go to Settings
